Kari Estes is a bassist, engineer and producer originating from Seattle, Washington, currently residing in New York, New York.
She first began her musical journey at the age of 5 with piano lessons, but found her true passion of playing the electric bass at the age of 13. With influences ranging from John Taylor to Steve Harris, Kari enjoys exploring all genres of music. She specializes in rock, metal, pop, and R&B. While she is primarily a session player, she has had her fair share of performances and has even shared the stage with the likes of Sheila E. and the Roots.
Kari began her work in production and audio engineering during her time at Berklee College of Music. While participating in the Music Production and Engineering major, she found a true passion for the audio engineering world. With some live sound experience under her belt, she found that she best enjoys working in a studio setting engineering sessions. Kari has also developed strong skills in audio editing, mixing, and music production.
Kari graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee in 2021.
Kari actively seeks out inspiration from everyone she works with, and hopes to create musical projects that will one day inspire others.
